Uses
Prize wheels for events
A prize wheel works in very different settings: a trade show stand, a shop entrance, a pre-match fan zone or a company party. Everyone gets the game straight away and everyone wants to try their luck. Here is how to make the most of it for your event.

Four ways to use a promotional prize wheel
Mechanics
How people play a promotional prize wheel
The wheel stays the same; what changes is what people have to do to spin it. These are the mechanics we see most:
- Details for a spin. The visitor leaves their email or scans a QR code, then spins. Very common at trade shows and conferences.
- Follow the brand. Anyone who follows your account on social media gets a go. It works in shops, at festivals and outdoor events.
- One spin per purchase. One spin with every receipt. The classic mechanic in shops and shopping centres.
- Try and spin. Taste the drink or try the product, spin the wheel and win a prize.
- Question and prize. Each segment is a question about your brand. Get it right and take the gift.
- Challenge. At parties and team events, the segment decides which challenge comes next.
Prizes
Segment ideas that work
A good wheel mixes small prizes that come up often, one or two big prizes and a segment or two that keep things lively:
- Discounts on the next purchase or booking.
- Merchandise: T-shirts, caps, bags, bottles, notebooks.
- Your own product or samples.
- “Spin again” and “so close”, which stretch the excitement.
- Challenges or quiz questions.
- A special segment in a different colour for the star prize.
If you repeat a prize on several segments, it will come up more often. It is the simplest way to control how many gifts of each kind you hand out.

Questions about uses
Can you control which prize comes up?
It is not about rigging the wheel but about designing it well: if a prize appears on more segments, it will come up more often. That is how you decide how many gifts of each kind to hand out.
Does someone need to stand by it?
The wheel works on its own, but at busy events it is a good idea for someone from your team to hand out the prizes. If you prefer, we can suggest a promo host or an entertainer.
Can the wheel be used to collect leads?
Yes, it is one of its most common uses: the visitor leaves their details or follows your brand and, in return, spins the wheel.
Do you hire for private parties?
Yes. We mainly work with agencies and brands, but also with private clients.
